Welcome to my home in Clapham.
I live on my own in a very comfortable late Victorian terraced house.The bedroom I am offering is on the first floor overlooking the garden. It has an adjacent private shower room and loo.I do sometimes have houseguests but they would share my own second bathroom on the top floor. My house is non-smoking.
I am of course biased, but I believe that my neighbourhood has the best of most worlds in London: easy access to public transport, a large green space, excellent local shopping, and a little bit of culture.
Public transport: within easy walking distance are Clapham Common and Clapham North stations on the Northern Line as well as numerous buses to south and central London.
Clapham Common is one of the largest green spaces in South London with a famous late Victorian bandstand and many ponds is on my doorstep. Local shopping at Abbeville Village is within a short walk from my house. In addition to Sainsbury and Coop Local, it boasts an excellent butcher and green grocer.
Should you wish to eat out, there are many reasonably priced cafes and restaurants in the village.Clapham also boasts the Omnibus Theatre and the Clapham Picture House."
